For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s biggest transitions. Whether buying a first home, selling a longtime residence, relocating, downsizing, or investing, my goal has always been to provide clear guidance, strong advocacy, and practical solutions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

In 2026, I was honored to be recognized by RealTrends among the Top 1.5% of real estate professionals nationwide and as one of Oregon's top-ranked agents. While recognition is meaningful, what matters most to me is helping clients make confident decisions and achieve outcomes that support their long-term goals.

Before entering real estate, I served in the United States Coast Guard and later worked as a K9 officer with the New Mexico State Police. I also served as a city councilor and planning commissioner. Those experiences shaped my approach to leadership, problem-solving, and service, and continue to influence how I advocate for clients today.

Real estate is rarely just about property. It's often connected to major life transitions, new opportunities, growing families, career changes, retirement plans, or fresh starts. I believe every client deserves honest advice, clear communication, and an advocate who understands both the financial and personal sides of the decision.

Today, Daniel and I are proud to serve clients throughout the Portland–Vancouver metro area, the Willamette Valley, and Southwest Washington. Together, we bring a combination of market knowledge, strategic marketing, creative storytelling, and genuine care for the people we serve.

Daniel Switzer

I bring a creative, people-centered perspective to the work we do at The Watson & Switzer Group. My background is in theater, dance, and storytelling, with years spent performing, creating, and directing in New York City and beyond. Living a bi-coastal life between the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast continues to shape how I see space, movement, and transition, all of which influence how we approach real estate.

In our business, my role focuses on presentation, communication, and the overall client experience. I support Shawn and our clients by shaping how homes are positioned, how stories are told, and how each step of the process feels. Buying or selling a home is rarely just transactional, and my work is centered on creating clarity, calm, and intention from marketing and visuals to the way information is shared.

Alongside real estate, I continue to perform, teach, and create, which keeps me grounded in collaboration and community. At its best, real estate is about connection to place, to people, and to the life you are building. I am proud to be part of a team that leads with trust, values relationships, and approaches every client experience with care and authenticity.

Delores Gentry

Founding Relationship-Driven Broker, Emeritus

Delores began her real estate career after retiring early from the court system, bringing with her a deep sense of integrity and a natural compassion for people navigating important life transitions. She went on to play a foundational role in shaping the values that continue to guide our work today. Alongside Shawn, she built the Delores Gentry Team in New Mexico, creating a business defined by trust, consistency, and long-standing client relationships. Known for her ability to connect authentically and earn referrals organically, Delores is a true rainmaker whose influence continues to shape how we approach real estate.

Now living in Amarillo, Texas near her daughter Julie, Delores is mostly retired and no longer a licensed, practicing broker. She continues to spend time in Oregon with Shawn and his partner, Daniel, and remains a valued presence within our business, supporting select projects and client touchpoints behind the scenes. Her legacy lives on not only in the business she helped build, but in the belief that real estate works best when it is grounded in relationships, integrity, and genuine care for the people involved.
